T873 Cab Delivery

We were contracted to deliver and land a T873 cab at a remote telecoms site with challenging access conditions. The route to the site was narrow, steep, and heavily affected by mud, making the use of a conventional wheeled crane impractical.

To overcome these constraints, we deployed a Prinoth T8 tracked crane, a Toyota Hilux with trailer, and an Aconda 1250 Pro tracked carrier as part of a full contract lift solution.

The T873 cab was initially transported to site on the Toyota Hilux trailer. It was then carefully transferred onto the Prinoth T8 tracked crane, which transported the load safely across wet and uneven ground to the installation point. To facilitate access, a section of the site fence was temporarily removed, allowing the crane to position itself accurately for the lift.

Once in place, the cab was lifted and landed into its final position. Following completion of the lift, the Prinoth crane returned to the designated landing area, and the site fence was reinstated.

The Aconda 1250 Pro tracked carrier was then utilised to transport new batteries to the cab through the confined site compound. It was also used to remove the redundant cab and return it to the yard for safe disposal.

This operation demonstrated an effective solution for complex site access challenges, ensuring safe and efficient delivery, installation, and removal works.
